Michael Neil Thomas AKA My World passed away on the 27th August 2006 after a very short illness age 13 (just) He was born and raised in Poole but sadly passed away in Southampton hospital PICU where he had sadly been for the last 8 weeks of his life.Michael lived with his mum and dad 2 younger brothers Ethan and Reuben and his little sister Indie 3, Michael died from an infection contracted while having treatment for a rare form of cancer that he only had for 10 weeks.
Michael was our world from the day he was born he bought immense pleasure and joy into our lives and that of many others, Michael lit up a room when he walked into it he had a fantastic sence of humour and the biggest and brightest smile ever. Michael loved his family life and the times spent with his friends, his only mission was to keep the peace and make everyone happy and that he did with ease.Michael was a healthy child who rarely even caught a common cold, until the dreaded day he found a lump in his armpit we were tod by 2 GPs and our local hospital that Mikey had a virus until 3 weeks later when he got so sick I thought we were going to lose him there and then, and ambulance was called and he was taken to the same hospital we had already visited where thankfull the doctor on the ward that night realised our desperatly ill Mikey was, he pulled out all the stops and made sure that Mikey was seen by every medical specialist possible, EVENTUALLY a biopsy was performed on the lump ( by this time mikey was coverd in lumps and a severe rash) the results showed that he had an oncology problem he was then transferred to another specialist hospital where he was diagnosed as having a Perephal T Cell Lymphoma, he was given treatment over his time there which at the most was horrific, but Mikey faced his illness and treatment with courage,dignity and even managed to keep his sense of humour for some part, but sadly Mikey caught an infection while he had no immune system and sadly became gravely ill, he passed away with mum and dad at his bedside leaving a young family in turmoil and pain.
He will be forver missed and there will ALWAYS be a massive whole in our hearts.xx

So we cannot be together like we used to.

Michael, we are leaving school in 8 school days, and I just wish you were there to top off the four years. Not a day goes bu when I don't think about you, I miss you very much. Love you always Mandy x

Every1 misses u loads down here!, Remember the days when i used to go round your aunty candys to see your cousin James,and u'd be there.Your whole family would be there having a laugh.You always knew how to make every1 laugh mikey,playing around,James chasing you around the house haha it was great! mike. school isnt the same without you. you always knew how to put a smile on my face. i remember when we would sit in ict and sing the JCB song. everyone looked at us weirdly and the teacher told us to stop singing but that didnt stop us. oh and when u had me in stiches about the zebra at longfleet. i hope ur still not hurting yourself every wednesday up there in heaven lol. whenever i think of you i only have good memories and laughs. i hope your in heaven still smiling because if you werent then that wouldnt be you. love you micheal x
i found a penny today
laying on the ground
but its not just a penny
this little coin i found
pennies come from heaven
that's what my dad told me
he said angels toss them down
oh, how i loved this story
he said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down
sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of a frown
So, don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue
It may be a penny from Heaven
